This will def be interesting... Be Hoppy casks, maybe every week, deconstructed to a point at least. Substituting the citra dry hop for one of the other hops in the beer. So this one is dry hopped with Centennial, which used to be one of my fav hops, so this could be fun.
Light creamy frothy head with nice lacing, murky carrot color.
Nose brings typical cask aroma, bright fresh grassy hops, nice grapefruit with very light citrus, nice pith and hint rind, light sweet malt base.
Taste brings plenty of pith, grapefruit pith and bitter rind, very little citrus in general, dry fruity hop oil and floral grassy flavours, mild sweet malty grainy base. Nice fruity flavors. Finish is quite bitter and dry, lingering bitter rind and pith, very bitter grapefruit, mild sweet malty flavor.
Mouth is med bod, decent carb esp for a firkin.
Overall good but not as good as the original, nice grapefruit but so bitter almost astringent like. Miss the citrus note too, but def a fun experiment. Wish I had more time to do a side by side with the original, or eventually all of them side by side!
