Wow, one of the best beers from Wormtown. Smell: tart bread.... Sorry can't describe it but awesome. Mouthfeel: smooth, that's it just smooth. Taste: the usual rye spiciness shows up and is divine (never used that word), light hoppiness, lemony. Awesome beer. It is a very complex beer, couldn't fully describe its subtleties.

Tap at the brewery.

Nice creamy foamy smaller head fades at a quicker pace, nice lacing, dark murky rosy reddish orange color.

Nose is not what I expected at first, big biscuity malts, toffee, then layers of caramel and butterscotch toffee, candy red, little spicy fruity rye, touch of booze.

Taste brings some mild booze out front, big fruity esters, Apple pear like tree fruit, then light phenolic booze, little chemical phenol, into big malts, sweet candy, layers of caramel and butterscotch toffee again, faint nutty toffee, back to some biscuity malts. Then tons of rye, big fruity rye flavours, and the spicy rye combined with the spicy phenols. Rich rich candy caramel sets the base, and fair bitterness between bitter rye and mild spicy hops, turns into burnt caramel. Finish heavy sticky malts, caramel all over, spicy rye, fruity rye and esters with more peppery booze heat lingering.

Mouth is full bod, some warmth and tingle from booze, nice carb, touch syrupy.

Overall ok, some interesting characters, a huge beer that is pretty tough to drink.
