Poured on tap at the brewery.

Pours a deep, cloudy amber color with minimal head and decent lacing.

I get caramel and sweet tea on the nose. Slightly on the sweeter side.

Taste has a ton of caramel with a slight bitterness on the back end. There's some maple and it's subtle but present.

Feel is smooth and creamy with a medium-full body. Low carbonation. Sticky sweetness lingering on the end of each sip.

Overall a solid beer. Not a lot going on for it but still pretty decent. Would try again.

Tap at brewery
Big creamy thick head, big next lacing, murky auburn chestnut brown color.

Nose is muted, mild spicy hops, little herbal, mild fruity esters, light toasty brown malts and I think some gristy wheat, faint toffee caramel, faint oak.

taste sweet malts but not very sweet, little caramel, maple cream, juicy reddish malt with touch toasty, generic candy like, with a little bourbon and oak on the back end. Light fruity ester profile, with a little spicy herbal hop presence. Finish drier, fair bitterness as spicy hop kicks in a bit more, hint of booze warmth and fruity ester, lingering maple cream and toffee.

Mouth is thicker, almost chewy creamy, decent carb, kissy a touch of booze on the back end.

Overall pretty nice a little light on the nose, wish the barrel was a bit more prominent but it's not first or second fill, pretty tasty though.

Enjoyed at Wormtown's sixth anniversary party.

A - Poured into a standard tulip a nice dark hazy chestnut hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light wisps and light lacing.

S - Aromas of light caramel, nice subtle malt sweetness. Maybe a little bit of malt toffee. The maple is subtle, not assertive but a good compliment to the beer. Faint oak and barrel notes as well.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, nice grains and malt backbone, solid toffee and caramel.Nice bitterness on the finish that lingers along with some spicy alcohol and hops. The maple is good and lightly sweet. Almost like a maple cream.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, bright, alcohol hidden quite nicely.

O - Overall this beer was rather solid, the maple wasn't overpowering and offered nice balance and harmony to the strong ale.
