All the buzz with none of the sting. Fermented with local honey from Aunt Chrissy’s Honey Company and dry hopped with the rare African Queen hop from South Africa. This beer carries notes of candied lemon peel and herbal fruit with a sweet honey flavor that transitions to a smooth bitter finish. 6.5% 70 IBUs

Thanks to rudzud for picking me up a can. Neat name, canned 2/28

Pours a big fluffy foamy 1.5 finger head that fades at a med to slower pace, nice soapy lacing, murky honey orange color

Nose a bit of fermented honey, and a sweet candy malt aroma, almost dank like hop notes, herbal almost tea like, mild fruity notes, a touch of citrus zest and fruity cereal.

Taste sweet again, candy malt almost syrupy heavy beer, honey, raw honey like it was added after fermenting and a bit of mead like character, then honey crackers, a little cracker malt toasty, fair bitterness that ramps throughout, a mild herbal hop that gets a bit fruity, generic fruit flavor with mild citrus zest and more fruity cereal, green underripe orange juice, finishing a bit drier but still sticky sweet, fair bitterness with spicy herbal hops lingering.

Mouth is med bod, nice fluffy carb, a bit syrupy sweet but not too much.

Overall an interesting beer, I def liked the honey mead like notes as I wasn't expecting so much, the bitterness esp on the finish was a little much, as well as the sweetness.

Had a sample of this at the brewery and figured I would pick up a 4 pack (brewery only release).

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice hazy golden honey hue with a big two finger white head that fades slowly to leave sticky side lacing and a nice half finger white blanket. Great appearance.

S - Aromas of light honey sweetness, little bit of malts, nice lightly grassy hops, lighter citrus peel, some tea like notes, light lemon grass. Tea comes out even more as it warms. Not super aromatic.

T - Taste is similar to the nose. Nice faint honey sweetness, citrus is rather subtle. Tea flavour is strong, nice lingering bitterness. The hops on the taste aren't anywhere near as bright as they were on draft. Almost a light gooseberry flavour going on as well.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated with medium body. Quite nice.

O - Overall I'm a bit perplexed here. On draft this was almost a hop bomb. Big citrus with some fun exotic notes, however, it's nowhere to be found in this can. Hoping it's just an off can or something as on draft it was an easy 4.5 across the board. A very confusing let down.
