Enjoyed at the brewery.
A - Poured into a standard tulip a nice dark dark brown almost black with a thin mocha head that fades to leave light wisps and thin lacing.
S - Aromas of big oaky barrels, strong sweet bourbon, vanilla icing, caramel, chocolate fudge, really light coffee, not much dark fruits.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with very nice dark fruits this time. The roast is slightly hidden, really good fudge notes. The star of this is the bourbon. Big barrel notes, good caramel and bourbon juice. The vanilla from the barrel is quite lovely.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, alcohol hidden nicely. Could stand to be richer/creamier.
O - Overall this was a very solid stout and the barrel provides a big improvement on the base beer. The barrel tastes just spectacular.

Draft at the brewery
Decent creamy darker smaller head, nice lacing, pitch black thick beer
Nose very nice, juicy bourbon, vanilla barrel, little toasty oak, sweet chocolate cocoa, fudgey, fluffy nougat marshmallow, hints of dark fruits, nice baking spices, caramel, touch of roast and coffee
Taste thick chewy, big barrel woody flavors similar to Tennessee tats, wood pulp, sweet candy malts, little caramel, fluffy nougat, mild cocoa bakers choc, a bit creamy too, a bit of perfumey alcohol, followed by American whiskey juice but mild, a little toasted oak and vanilla, baking spices, mild to fair bitterness with touch of roast and charred coffee beans, faint dark fruits a candy fig paste like. Finishes drier, bit more warming alcohol, lingering American whiskey and oak, and roasted cocoa
Mouth is fuller bod, a bit creamy, mild warming alcohol, decent but maybe a little under carbonated
Overall nice, aroma was great, taste the barrel added wood pulp and the American whiskey flavor was a little rough compared to like a sweet candy like bourbon, but nice harmony of flavors.
