This years brew is an American Barleywine which highlights malt complexity by utilizing five base malts and two specialty malts but also showcases a heavy hand of American hops for balance. Featuring Four Star Cascade, Centennial, and Pepite for massive aromas of herbal citrus and Chinook for a fresh, resinous character. This brew is designed to become more complex as the years pass and can be enjoyed for future birthdays! It is the first birthday brew to be released in 22oz bottles.

Enjoyed at the Anniversary party.
A - Poured into an anniversary chalice hazy copper hue with a fat head that fades to leave thick lacing and a creamy head.
S - Aromas of super muted malts, caramel toffee, really odd vegetative earthy hops.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with lightly sweet caramel malts, boozy alcohol phenols, faint toffee notes. Decent amount of slightly bitter, earthy, vegetative hops.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, the body is medium. Finish is lightly earthy. No alcohol.
O - Overall this was a very underwhelming beer. The hops are super underwhelming. Small wet cardboard notes too. This is a far cry from Beer Goggles.

Draft at the brewery
Huge thick creamy foamy head fades slowly tons of lacing, hazy bright red amber color
Nose is a bit muted, caramel and toffee when I force it, candy there nutty, but very muted, faint herbal vegetal hops, then a bit of wet of dog
Taste big sweet malts, toffee, caramel, toasted reddish malt, biscuity, boozy alcohol phenols, vegetal herbal hops, candy syrup, not too hot though, fair bitterness
Mouth is med to fuller bod, decent but lighter carb, little booze warmth
Overall very disappointed unfortunately, beer goggles is much better
