Draft at the brewery
Light fizzy head, little lacing, mostly clear slight chill hazed deep amber color
Nose sweet Vienna amber malts, grainy sweet with little toasty, no caramel (which is not a bad thing) quite fruity, generic fruity esters malt and yeast derived I think, faint firewall hop aroma
Taste toasty grainy malts dominate, toasty but again stops short of caramel or biscuit, soft lager characters with fruity esters again both yeast and malt derived I think, hint pear, hint of plum like, etc, hops bring medium to lighter bitterness with a mild floral herbal slight spicy later, semi dry finish, soft lager
Mouth is med to a little lighter bod but soft lager, med to lighter carb
Overall this was actually a solid Vienna lager, nice lager, nice hop profile, good fruity ester notes, great malt base, well done... Also glad I didn't have the version aged in baseball bats. Wish it had a bit more carbonation and head.
