Don't Worry is our take on the Right Coast IPA. With the perfect amount of amber haze, big tropical fruit aromatics and a touch of juicy hop bitterness, you don't have to worry because this IPA will make you hoppy. Have a great IPA!

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a very small fizzy white head. The head fades quite quickly leaving a trace of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a grain and herbal smell mixed with aromas of some floral hop and a good deal of pine. Other smells of pear and apple are there as well, mixed with just a trace of hay and must.
Taste – The taste starts out with a bready and slightly malty flavor with a decent showing of pine and herbal hop. Other light grainy flavors and a little bit of citrus, pear, and tangerine sweetness are there as well, with the later fading as the taste advances. At the same time, some floral and more herbal hop comes to the tongue, and with a touch of a vegetal taste at the end, one is left with a decently dank and rather nicely bittered taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness with a carbonation level that is rather high and bubbly. For the flavors and the style, the middle of the ground feel and higher carb keep it easy drinking, while allowing one to appreciate the bitter and malt well.
Overall – A rather nice IPA. Not a citrus bomb, or a hazy, but rather different from most is what is out there now. Quite nice.

Wormtown Brewery "Don't Worry IPA"
16 fl. oz. can "PKGD: 01/11/24" and sampled on 05/23/24

Notes via stream of consciousness: Large chunks of what looks like sedimented yeast can been seen in suspension within the hazy golden body. This is over 4 months old so I guess that's fair. The head is a finger's width of white foam. In the nose I'm finding notes of tropical fruit over a wheaty malt base. It's just lightly sweetish, and the hops could certainly be brighter but as I noted this isn't exactly a fresh sample. Interestingly enough, it did come directly from the brewery. Moving on to the taste, there's more fruitiness but not a lot is standing out. I'm going to say orange, peach, dull pineapple, grapefruit, papaya, and guava. It's also floral, earthy, mildly piney, grassy, and spicy. A solid bitterness of around 50 IBU's keeps it dry in the finish with the earthy, mildly piney, grassy, and spicy notes lingering. In the mouth it's medium bodied, and crisp with a standard carbonation level. If this is a New England style IPA it's not the juicy kind although there is some juiciness to it. Nor is it like the more piney and herbal versions. It's also not the sweet and candyish type. It's something different altogether, incorporating elements from all of those subcategories. I'm going to call it just a solid go-to IPA and nothing to write home about.

A very solid IPA for the ABV. It balances maltiness, pine and grapefruit flavors, and a dandelion bitterness. Drinks like a west coast looks like an east coast. I don't think it's necessarily world class but it is pretty good and worth a try.

A: slight haze; medium gold in color; 1+ finger finely pored ivory head that receded to a thin cap; nice lacing;

S: not especially aromatic; what's there is a pleasant combination of grapefruit, pineapple, and tangerine ;

T: flavor is nice, but subdued; dank with grapefruit and pineapple behind it; mild to moderate bitterness on the finish;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; lightly dry finish;

O: nice, but not enough flavor or aroma;

A fine hazy IPA, I enjoyed at Wormtown with @mickyge in 05/2021, a bit darker and lacking the citrus notes of some made in NE, but a tasty and satisfying sessionable accompaniment to the relatively higher octane Be Hoppy series it is a part of. Drink a couple and for awhile at least you won't have to take the advice of the name on the can.

Can labeled PKGD: 7/22/20

Poured into my tulip glass this beer is an opaque lemon custard yellow with a creamy ecru head. Decent staying power and some fluffy lace

Scent is tropical fruits, pine, floral.

Taste is muddled tropical fruit - nothing stands out in particular - with a touch of pine resin. Grapefruit. Lemon. Bitter astringent finish.

Mouth is slick but not creamy or juicy.

Hell of an IPA for only 5.8% ABV. Does seem somewhere in between NE IPA and West Coast style IPA. The tropical fruit notes say NE but the grapefruit and pine and the bitterness in the finish tell me West Coast. The mouthfeel is somewhere between the two. Either way I'm not going to worry. I'll just enjoy the beer.

Hoppy nose, not really citrusy as you might expect it to be. Pours a lovely amber gold with very slight haze - I wouldn't really call it hazy. Taste is bitter hops with a slight sweetness on the side of the tongue, really well balanced. I don't get juiciness from it but it's a really nice take on an East coast IPA. Mouthfeel has a bit of creaminess about it. I really enjoyed it and would definitely buy it again. These guys are making some good beers these days and I like to support the locals. Nicely done Wormtown!

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Kappy's in Norwell for about thirteen dollars. Have had this brew many times, did not realize that I had not reviewed. Very good, a lesser version of Be Hoppy-.

IMO, this is better than it's predecessor, "Be Hoppy". Not quite a session at 5+% ABV, but not quite as a compromise as some of them either.
