Savor this unique, custom lager we created for POW! WOW! Worcester, a 7 day mural festival celebrating art, culture and community. As POW! WOW! allows their artists to express their creativity we used this as an opportunity to go a nontraditional route and experiment with late in the boil hop additions along with dry-hopping to create a special take on the Czech pale. Using Citra Noble Powder and dry-hopping with Citra Cryo powder and Mandarina Bavaria hops, we hope this beer ignites your creative side with its colorful flavors and bold ingredients. Best when shared with friends for a true cultural experience that enhances all of your senses.

Draft at the brewery
Dense large pillowy head with good retention and thick lacing, mostly clear slight chill haze golden pilsner color
Nose loads of citrus and raw lupulin hop extract, like raw hop oil, little resinous and dank vegetal, lemony too, hint of gristy malt, otherwise all hop extract
Taste again loads of hop oil and lupulin extract, little dank and very resinous, little vegetal earthy too, spicy hop with medium high bitterness, nagging bitter almost tannin like, very little gristy malt, again basically like drinking hop extract, and sticky finish, no crisp lager
Mouth is medium bod, medium carb, not much of a soft lager, little sticky resinous, and astringent
Overall this is pretty bad, very poorly constructed, why would you put so much hop extract and powder and whole dry hops into a lager? What did you think would happen? Like a hop head homebrewers first beer.

Enjoyed on tap at the brewery today.
A - Poured a nice crystal clear golden hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light lacing and thin wisps.
S - Aromas of, well, not Czech pilsner for sure. Big aromas of citrus and hop oils, dank floral grassy hops. The hops are nice but this isn't a pilsner it's a pale ale.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of dank hops, almost weed like flavour. Tons of floral hops almost pollen like with as light bitterness. Really just has tons of dank pot flavour. Flash of pilsner malts and a little honey sweetness.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, little crisp, but the sweetness is almost sticky.
O - Overall this was an utterly terrible representation of the style. Nothing about it is remotely pilsner like. At all. And the hops they used aggressively brought a dank pollen weed flavour and aroma that killed it even more. Just terrible.
