A: crystal clear; medium gold in color; 1 finger finely pored white head that receded to a wispy cap; no lacing;

S: lightly sweet malt, a bit of hop spice, and a nit of orange;

T: the sweet malt is slightly dominant up front; the malt, hop spice and orange are balanced in the middle; the orange shines a little brighter at the end;

M: light bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: refreshing and easy drinking;

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The brew pours a clear golden-amber color with a puffy head of white foam. The head has a moderate level of retention, fading over time and leaving a bit of streaky lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a bready and citrus aroma with the citrus being of a light lemon and orange smell mixed with a touch of grapefruit. At the same time comes a decent showing of grain and some lighter aromas of an earthy and hay smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a clean bready and cracker malt flavor paired with a bit of the citrus that was in the nose. For the citrus the lemon and orange are the strongest, but there is a bit of grapefruit in there as well. While present the citrus just adds a light backdrop, and is overall lighter. As the taste advances some light hay and grassy tastes develop, and with a touch of pepper, one is left with a nice crisp and clean taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and crisp with a higher carbonation level. For the tastes and the style, the feel is great and makes for an easy refreshing sipper.
Overall – A rather nice, summer style brew. Easy natured in taste and feel. Good for a nice hot day.

Had both on draft and cans. Very little difference but tap is definitely cleaner. Really not much going on that is great but absolutely nothing bad either. A nice clean summer season beer.

Picked-up a twelve pack of cans recently for about fifteen dollars. Decent LAB.

Personally, I like this beer a lot better than the SA summer beer. Pours a slightly hazy yellow with a worthwhile head. Not much going on in the aroma. Taste is malty, with a bit of hops to balance it out. What I really like about it is that they didn't feel the need to add lemon to the beer, that's a good thing imho. Mouthfeel is slightly creamy with a reasonable body. Overall, I think this is an excellent summer brew. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Around here the "summer" bar is set pretty high by Sam Adams. That being said, this is a different beer. It drinks far lighter than Sam summer with less body and not nearly as much flavor. That's not to say this is a bad beer. Far from it. This would be delightful to lambast after cutting the lawn or roasting on the beach. Certainly a clear beer, relatively no smell and has more of a lager feel than most of the summer ales.
