Collaboration with Other Half Brewing Company and basically the rest of the brewing world...All Together NEIPA brewed to support Off Their Plate providing meals to front line COVID healthcare workers and essential personnel. We brewed this beautiful IPA with a blend of Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, and Cascade hops. This hazy IPA is bursting with tropical fruit and stonefruit flavors. A portion of the proceeds go to Off their Plate Mass!

Canned 5/14/20
Pours a med-larger foamy frothy 1+ finger head with moderate retention, decent lacing, super hazy cloudy med-light orange-pale color

Nose brings some dank musty oniony mosaic up front, almost armpit level musty dankness, behind that is citrus and generic tropical fruits, sweet doughy malt, the dank armpit fades but the onion doesn't, hard to get specific fruits under that

Taste has more dank green onion but thankfully a lot less, some citrus, tropical fruits, pithy and a touch papery, again hard to pick speific fruits, some generic tropical, papaya, maybe mango notes, candied citrus, more juicy mango as it warms, mild doughy creamy malt, and bit of alcohol, some malt sweetness that gets a little nagging over time, hops getting spicy and a bit "green" with med-lighter bitterness on the back end, finishing drier with a creamy juicy NEIPA mineral addition

Mouth is med bod, med-higher fizzy prickly carb, a touch of warming alcohol

Overall this was a letdown, the last few I had from them made it seem like they were starting to get over their "meh" beers, but this falls right back there. I love the idea, but as usual collabs tend to fall on their face, and stop using friggen Mosaic!

Picked up a four pack of this at the brewery. Canned on 5/14.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice hazy New England IPA pale gold colour with a fat two finger white head that faded very slowly to leave incredibly sticky side lacing.

S - Aromas of juicy citrus and bright stone fruit as well as some dank almost tropical fruit aroma. Some prominent earthy/vegative notes from the Mosaic hops but it never gets to that garlicy/onion aroma that Mosaic can provide. As it warms the Mosaic pops a bit more, which is unfortunate.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with bright slightly bitter citrus and grapefruit. The stone fruit isn't quite as prominent as it was on the nose. Tropical fruits pop a bit more with some pineapple before becoming more dank slightly green hops. The Mosaic comes through with strong earthy/slightly vegative notes that like the nose become more intense as it warms.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, little brightness with good medium body.

O - Overall this was a solid New England IPA. I think the Mosaic unfortunately cancels out a lot of what the Citra, Simcoe, and Cascade bring to the table with its earthy notes. Still though, not a bad hoppy beer.

Serving Type: Can

Edit: While not something I do, in fact I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I've done this, after having had this beer again after some extra time in the can (roughly 10 more days) I'm going to edit my review. I'm bumping the taste from a 4 to a 4.25 as the Mosaic has become quite mellow and allowed the Citra, Simcoe, and Cascade to come through much much better.
