Pass Me the Laser Beam is a super hazy New England IPA with a radiant orange color and vibrant tropical flavors of mango, papaya, and super ripe strawberry. With a slight zap of pine on the nose and pine flavors on the back end, it finishes with a light mineral bitterness.

Thanks to rudzud for grabbing, canned 6/03/20
Pours a med-large frothy creamy 1 finger head with great retention and soapy lacing, hazy cloudy med orange color

Nose starts with plenty of citrus, then dank and a little musty tropical, orange creamscicle, mango sherbet, papaya, a little dank tropical and piney notes, light doughy creamy malt and flaked proteins with a touch of chalky minerals

Taste brings more of the papaya and a bit of a berry like fruit, almost melony, a faint strawberry character, then the tropical fruit with some papaya, mango sherbet, more of the citrus with a little tangerine cream (softer than the orange of the nose), plenty of creamy base malt, a little doughy base malt, plenty of suspended flaked proteins, touch of chalky minerals but mostly fermented out and softened, a bit of a candied citrus rind, a bit of alcohol in there surprisingly, drier finish with some spicy hope bitterness kicking in, still a bit "green" as well

Mouth is med bod, very soft creamy juicy like, med carb, a touch of warming alcohol

Overall pretty good, not incredible but good

Picked up a 4 pack of this at the brewery. Canned on 6/3/20.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice darker hazy golden hue with a super dense two finger creamy head that simply didn't want to fade. It just lurked and loomed like an impending thunder storm cloud while leave a trail of side lacing. It legit doesn't want to disappear! Impressive albeit slightly annoying.

S - Aromas of juicy fruit bubble gum, citrus peel, orange zest, orange juice, little bit of green papery hops but that's super super subdued. Little bit of grapefruit as well. Citrus overall pops pretty hard.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with big citrus peel and zest up front followed by an absolute slam of pine bitterness. Reminds me of what a Stone Ruination would taste if you threw a little bit of Citra in the dry hop. Incredibly aggressive bitterness that I wasn't remotely expecting as there was not even the slightest hint of that on the nose. It's not bad at all just completely caught me off guard. As it warms there are more flashes of generic tropical notes before that aggressive bitterness kicks in. As the taste buds get more and more used to it there is a pleasant tropical pineapple note coming out as well.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, little creamy with some nice clean carbonation.

O - Overall this was certainly not what I was expecting. Just comes across as a super hazy super bitter west coast IPA...which is good but not really a 'New England IPA'. Again, super enjoyable just quite unexpected. Would probably pick up another four pack if given the chance.
