Superluminal Motion is a New England Double IPA with a hazy burnt orange hue. With rich notes of candied papaya, peach and honey dew melon it finishes slightly sweet and herbal.

Canned 6/11/20, thanks to rudzud for picking it up
Pours a larger foamy frothy 1.5 finger head with med retention, decent soapy lacing, very hazy med orange color
Nose is mixed, some earthy pine notes then into fair tropical and papaya, with a bit of ctirus, a little stone fruit, some melon like honey dew and cantaloupe combined, with fair sweet malt
Taste brings more of the dank resinous slight piney hops up front, then into the citrus and tropical, more papaya, melon, a little pithy citrus and pulp, with light chalky mineral additions, a bit of sweet candy malt, with med bitterness and a light perfumey alcohol, drier finish with a bit more alcohol and more of that dank piney turning spicy hops and med-higher bitterness
Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, med-higher foamy carb, light warming alcohol
Overall it's OK, sort of a mix of NEIPA and west coast but kinda misses some of the good characters of both

Picked up a four pack of this at the brewery. Canned on 6/11/20
A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice slightly hazy golden orange hue with a thick one finger white head that fades slowly to leave a thinner white blanket. Light lacing.
S - Aromas of some papery green hops, candied papaya, little bit of peach, little bit of sweeter melon and a flash of malts. The finish is lingering papery hops though.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with more of those papery hops. Not really green just young. Candied papaya is there again, not much stone fruit. Some sweetness but there is a rather big, bold spicy hop presence on the finish that lingers. The spiciness doesn't really jive here.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, clean, medium bodied.
O - Overall this was disappointing due to the papery hop elements in addition to how spicy it got on the finish. As I have a few more cans I may wait a couple weeks and revisit this to see if those hop aspects have dropped off.
