FOr some reason I've never reviewed this. Had on tap at Peppercorns.

Creamy 1 finger head fades slowly over hazy darker amber color. Light sticky lacing.

Nose light reddish malts, little toasty, creamy malts, very light spicy and grassy hops, light overall.

Taste is malty, toasty malts, fresh wort flavors, light grassy hops, little creamy malts, light reddish malts, clean and crisp, finishes with a light bitterness that builds a bit, light malts, and semi dry. A very light yeast flavor starts to build late, but doesn't get bad just adds to the toasty malts and almost pilsner malt like.

Mouth is med bodied decent carb.

Overall tasty, sessionable, nice crisp flavor, nice fresh malts, little light on the hops imo.

Appearance - A reddish/orange color similar to a Killian's Irish Red. A thick head at the pour that thins out to a collar but leaves plenty of thick lacing on the glass after its finished. Not much carbonation in this beer but it works, it didn't taste flat.

Smell - The hops come through the strongest, then some malts, and a mild fruit smell. Nothing particularly stands out from the label of "fruit" but grape.

Taste - Sweet and fruity, its what I like to taste in an Amber. This one is big on the grape taste, concord grapes especially. A light lemony/grassy taste is also on the pallet but not as noticeable.

Mouthfeel - The grape flavor leaves a tangy feel on the tongue and after the hops fizzle out it has a clean finish with no aftertaste. A solid body for an Amber.

Drinkability - Friendly and easy to gulp down. A good taste that should appeal to everyone, what I'd look for in an Amber.

On tap at Peppercorns Bar and Grill

A - Not quite crystal clear copper colour. One finger head leaving minimal lacing.

S - Really nice sugary, complex malts. Very pleasant aroma.

T - Much like the nose, lots of sweet malts dance across the tongue. Some light spice notes. Like the other reviewer stated, this tastes and feels much more like a brown ale than an amber.

M - Medium carbonation yet some light creamyness.

D - Light crispness, sweet, goes down nice and easy. Somewhat a one note ale though.

A - Deep amber to red in color. Sticky thin head with minimal lacing save for the rim.

S - Spicy nose with some notable alcohol and complex malty profile.

T - Nearly balanced but leaning toward malt spicyness. Toasty, nutty, bready...more like a brown than what I might think of as amber. Lingering dry malt and cinnamon or nutmeg, a drying spice.

M - Medium light body that's foamy in the mouth with a dry spiced aftertaste.

D - This could use more in the way of hops for bittering or flavor to balance or even tip the balance to the hop side. The dryness makes me want another sip, but for my tastes it will be of something else.
