Opaque pale yellow with an aroma of Hawaiian punch, berry smoothie, fresh squeezed pineapple juice. Smooth full body with aggressive hop character on the back end. Does not leave the pallet cloying with sweetness or a lingering hop bite. Prominent hops are El Dorado, Citra, Mosaic.

Look...Almost complete murk but a hint of clarity with a fine white bubble head
Smell...light hop melon with little else goin on. hint of fresh grass
Taste...juicy as it is heightened quickly by overlapping bitterness with an old school slap, A genuine nice old school new school concoction. grapefruit bitter up front and then a malty dry solution
Feel...A high quality of carbonation giving a smooth presentation along with significant lacing persisting through the glass.
Overall...This beer is quite well enjoyed. A bit closer to a mass produced beer to me but so is Sierra Nevada and I love their stuff. I will continue to try more of their beers

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a very hazy orange color with a one finger height head of thick off-white orange tinted foam. The head has a fantastic level of retention, fading over time and leaving tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a oaty smell mixed with notes of bready malt and a moderate showing of tropical fruits with some papaya and mango. Along with these smells comes a little bit of a herbal and pine smell and a touch of hay.
Taste – The taste starts with a very bready and biscuit heavy malt flavor paired with a moderately strong oat flavor and some notes of the tropical fruits of mango and papaya there were in the nose. The maltiness is huge while the sweet is more moderate. There is a moderate showing hop with some flavors of herb and earthy hops. As the taste moves forward the sweet fades a bit while the malt gets even more intense. The hop gets a bit stronger with some light pine joining in, and with a bit of must and hay, one is left with a super malty taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – the body if very heavy for a 6.5 % brew with a moderate carbonation level.
Overall – A bit too malty for my taste. Not one I would frequent.

Pours an opaque, but not hazy lemon yellow. Aroma is pleasant, slightly fruity. Nice hop bite with a bold enough malt backbone to balance things out. I would not consider it juicy like most NEIPA's. I really like it, another solid offering from Wormtown.

Wormtown Brewery "Be Smooth Hazy IPA"
16 fl. oz. can "PKGD: 03/06/24" and sampled on 05/30/24
Notes via stream of consciousness: Well it's certainly hazy. I'll call it cloudy like a hefeweizen. The body is golden and the head is white, and it's holding up very well to boot. In the nose it's mainly citrusy but there's some other tropical fruit as well. On to the taste... there's more going on than the nose lets on but not by too much. I'm getting notes of peach, orange, berry, apricot, apple, pineapple, and melon. There's definitely some Mosaic hops in this one. The malt is sweet with some wheaty and oaty character and it's kind of hard to tell where the bitterness level is at. I'm thinking it's between 35 and 45 IBUs. I don't get a lot of alcohol, just a bit in the finish, nor do I get a lot of "hop burn" although there is a touch. Or is that the alcohol?. How strong is this? 6.8, that's more than I expected so I guess that makes sense. This is delicious! The body is medium but seemingly fuller because of all of the extra proteins, and it's quite smooth. This is the juicy-sweet category of the NEIPA style, which is my favorite, but you've got to judge it on the sum of it's parts. The head held up really ell and the lacing is quite good. The aroma is very good, the taste is great, and the feel is about the best you can get. Nicely done!

L - poured a thick near Orange color with two finger off-white head which held on all the way. Very good lacing.
S - tropical, citrusy. Not overpowering. Nice.
T - follows nose but grapefruit, foremost.
F - medium mouthfeel with a semi-dry finish (especially on roof of mouth). Fairly bitter.
O - very nice beer, in my opinion.

Canned 2023/11/15
Pours a large frothy foamy almost 2 finger head with great retention, soapy lacing, hazy cloudy pale orange color
Nose mixes citrus, tropical fruit, chalk, creamy flaked proteins, doughy malt, mostly generic citrus and tropical fruits
Taste brings more of the citrus up front, doughy creamy malt, flaked proteins, a bit of chalky mineral softener, citrus with tangerine, a bit of zest, orange creamscicle, a bit of mango papaya tropical notes, but all that tastes a bit watered down, drier finish, a touch of green spicy hop
Mouth is med bod, soft creamy, a bit juicy, med carb
Overall meh, this was a bit of a letdown, not even like the generic NEIPAs that are around everywhere, this seemed watery, generic fruit notes that weren't very pronounced, a bit of the chalky minerals and even a little green spicy hop

This might be described as a fruit forward hazy New England aimed at the soft core IPA bracket. And let me state that it's quite a pleasant ale, especially at first blush. It is not overpowering at any moment, stays well within the envelope, and IPA haters won't hate this one. Fruity but not a fruit bomb (thank your favorite Deity), bitter is there but not a bitter bomb.
Straw color on pour, hazy, soft foam which will fade as it warms. My impression is mild apple or pear - but if you let it linger on your palate, a nice bitter buzz develops and a sense of citrus.
Out of a can at 2-1/2 weeks (within my three week limit for canned IPA), so I know off the tap it will be so much better. Canned IPA is a huge problem - I'm starting to brew my own because of the gunk that comes out of a can with IPA and Belgians. My first batch is fermenting now.

Picked-up as part of a mixed twelve-pack case at Bradford's in Plymouth for about thirty dollars. Canned on date of 4/20/23. My eleventh brew from these guys. Love the mixed twelve-pack format, & price point, but this was a miss for me, odd taste, but decent.
