Pours deep dark brown, settles in the glass black, can't see any light coming through. Leaves a one inch light tan head that recedes fairly quickly leaving a bit on the surface to stick on around. Leaves trails of lacing on the side of the glass.
The hops are prominent in the aroma, citrus, backed by toasted grain.
The hops don't come through much in the flavor, which is fine by me. This reminds me of an oatmeal stout, with a hoppy bite to it, a very minor one. For 75 IBUs this is extremely tame. A very light roasted coffee finish.
Full bodied, smooth, medium light carbonation.
