On tap at Yardhouse in Dedham, MA.
Poured into pint glass. Nice thick foam head. Cloudy orange haze.
No really in your face smell...
Taste is very nice for an APA...slightly hoppy and slightly fruity, but the malts are very up front. It has that "typical" upstate ny/new england brew flavor (well that flavor exists in my mind). Its like a typical Saranac...
Its super smooth and very drinkable. Nice brew, just not amazing.

Tap at peppercorns

Big creamy 1+ head fades at a med pace bit of lacing over hazy blond pale colored beer.

Nose has nice amber malts and a bit of creamy malts, light juicy reddish malt, nice floral hops, hints of fruit and malty sweetness.

Taste starts with a big creamy and semi sweet malt kick, amber malts and hints of juicy reddish malts, and hint of vanilla even. Then a nice hop kick, mostly floral hops but a nice spicy and almost earthy demeanor with a nice hoppy bitter bite. Finishes slightly more bitter and dry with a slight earthy herbal oily hop taste, and starts to get slightly astringent.

Mouth is med bodied, slightly oily, good carb.

Overall nice but maybe a bit too much with the oily feel and earthy slightly astringent hop finish. Overall fairly drinkable but gets a bit too bitter for its own good.

The newest beer from Wormtown, this is the Misty Brook Harvest amped up resulting in 55 IBUs and 5.5% ABV. All local ingredients.

A -Poured into a Wormtown glass a crystal clear light copper with a nice creamy two finger head that faded to leave nice side lacing and good clouding.

S - Nice floral bitter hops with light pine resin and citrus. Some barely there tropic notes along with some sweet almost candied malts. Very nice

T - Similar to the nose just more bitter in the finish. Nice piney almost oily hops with more sweet malts in the middle with a good dry, bitter finish.

M - Nice smooth bitter mouthfeel. Very tasty but almost too bitter. Still very inviting mouthfeel.

O - Really enjoyed this version of Misty Brook Harvest. The rye was nicely pronounced but I didn't find it quite as juicy as the original.
