Tap at Peppercorns.

Pours a decent creamy 1 finger head bit of lacing, mostly clear golden color.

Nose little floral hop base, a bit of grassy and slightly earthy. Light grapefruit and citrus, little melon like and slight hint if strawberry, a little kiwi hop like. Hint if malt base barely breaks the surface.

Taste starts with a decent bitter bite, sight earthy grassy hop, a bit spicy and overpowering on the first sip but it mellows as it goes. Strawberry is actually the first flavor of the hop, more like a green bitter strawberry, that slides into light melon, some grapefruit pith and light orange rind, citrus, juicy, touch of sweet tangerine. Faint hint of malt underneath that barely holds the beer together. Finish is long bitterness and fairly dry, nice bitter bite lingers with the light grapefruit and citrus, faint hint of green strawberry again, little spicy hop character too.

Mouth is med bodied, nice carb.

Overall pretty good, interesting and nice hop profile, fairly nice bitter bite, wish there was just a bit more malt to base the beer on, otherwise quite nice.

Brewed with the Golden Promise malted barley, MA wheat and single hopped with Bella hops. This hop is a new variety of hops from Puterbaugh farm in WA. The golden promise malt is of a Scotland variety.

A - Poured into a standard pint glass a crystal clear straw hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light thin wisps.

S - Aromas of those sweeter malts, a very faint strawberry aroma, and super faint citrus. Smells quite clean.

T - Taste is again quite clean with sweeter lightly bready malts. Nice bright strawberry flavors, which is pretty cool, with a nice pithy grapefruit peel finish. Some hints of orange come out as it warms. Not too bad.

M - Mouthfeel is quite nice with lots of bright carbonation. Super drinkable.

O - Overall I enjoyed this offering from Wormtown. Definitely a unique hop variety that lends various fruity flavours. Interesting to see if other breweries pick up on this.
