Small head but it lasts. Leaves plenty of lace. Very cloudy with an amber color.
Good cross between flowers and grapefruit to the nose.
Semi-sweet malt start. The hop is flavorful but not overwhelming. The alcohol is quite notable. The aftertaste is comparatively short for the style. Full body, good carbonation.

Had on tap at a local bar here in Boston. What a surprise! Wormtown consistently pumps out awesome beers and this one is no exception.
Poured a light copper with a 1 finger head into a pint glass. Looks amazing. Smells of fruity hops, hints of sweetness and orange peels. The taste is somewhat complex in my mind. I get bubblegum, orange, grapefruit and pez candy. The hops come through nicely but nothing overwhelming. Light spices and extremely tasty!
Overall this is fantastic and very unique. Not your average DIPA, ABV flew under the radar and it was so drinkable. I would love to find more of this.

Tap at peppercorns, again rudzud beats me to the punch.
Big creamy 1+ finger head in the snifter fades at a med pace with spotty lacing, murky danger copper reddish brown color.
Nose brings fruity hops, little citrus and tropical fruit, bright fruit, hint tangerine and orange Clementine, very faint malty sweetness.
Taste starts with sweet malts, little copper toasty reddish malt, hint caramel, quite fluffy, even a little nougat somehow. Then fruity, tropical fruit more like blend of light tropical fruits, grapefruit, papaya, fruit juice, a little grassy, somewhat Amarillo like, and little gumball flavor. Juicy and somewhat fruity, with decent bitterness. Finish is long, little spicy bitterness coming through with the light tropical fruit and juicy hops and hint citrus, faint Clementine and tangerine, a but if warming booze coming through as well.
Mouth is med to slightly fuller bodied, fluffy and very carbonated, little warming booze.
Overall quite nice, the hops are great without overpowering, great flavors and aromas, backed well by light malt profile that brings a hint of booze too remind you it is a big beer despite that it doesn't feel like it thanks to light overall malt, nice bit super bitter hip profile and fluffy carb.

This double rye ipa clocks in at 80 IBUs and was brewed with British Maris Otter pale malt, 23% Canadian Rye malt, and Massachusetts light crystal malts. Showcases three new American hop varieties, El Dorado, Calypso, and Meridian.
A - Poured into a standard snifter a nice deep dark hazy burnt orange hue with a good one finger head that fades to leave a nice thin blanket and good retention along with sticky lacing.
S - Aromas of juicy, wet hops. Light grapefruit and subtle citrus and pine. Quite light on the aroma though. Not getting much rye either
T - Taste is the opposite of the nose thankfully. This is assertive and aggressive! Hooray! Loads of oranges and spicy rye are complimented by sweet but balanced malts. Thank god this tastes the day it does....the nose had me nervous. Good almost candied orange in flavors. Tasty and light spicy definitely had some nice flavor.
M - Mouthfeel is very nice for the style with lighter carbonation and subtle smoothness.
O - Overall I was underwhelmed a bit by the nose but that taste is so solid. Love how the lightly bitter yet spicy orange pops out on the palette. One of my favorite birthday brews.
