NERAX cask at EBF.
A-Poured something near the color of brown.
S-I have never experienced the normal Extra Special Oak so I can't really comment on a difference but I found the nose on this to be very smooth and agreeable. It almost reminded me of a Dunkel. Chocolatey with lots of darker maltiness and some oak.
T-More chocolate and other sweet flavors. Like a Riesen candy. Supple oakiness. Toffee and caramel and fruit esters.
M-Flatter and smooth. A little alcohol bite.I always love the feel of cask beer.
O/D-Ienjoyed this a bunch. Maybe it was the addition of cacao nibs or the fact that was from a cask. Whatever the reason, I am pretty confident that I wouldn't like the base beer as much.
