1L can in Mae Kasa, Thailand. Pours a mid gold with a fine, white head. Aroma of malt, caramel. Taste of malt, herbs, sweetish. Unusual bock but not unpleasant.

One liter can poured into a mug.

Clear bright golden in color (should be darker for Bock?), it tops with thick frothy white head that stands with good retention before slowly subsiding to an everlasting bubble film on the surface and leaving pretty good lacing here and there.

In a nose, obviously Munich malt of bread and dough, also vanilla, syrup, honey, floral, and some artificial sweetness.

The taste is exactly reflected just like the aroma with notes of bread, dough, sweet syrup, honey, and vanilla from its malty goodness while hop provides just a bit of herbal bitterness.

Medium body with semi-smooth mouthfeel and lively carbonation through the palate, the feeling is crisp with a very dry finish from its syrupy sweetness.

It should have been bolder, darker, and deeper for Bock, anyway, still pretty decent.

A: Pale Amber with a touch of cloud like a sky about to rain, few slow rising bubbles, huge 3 finger fluffy creamy head with small and large bubbles looking like whipped cream a few seconds before its completely set by the beater.

S: Toffee, caramel, really reminds me of an English ale, vanilla, slight crème brule, light dry grassy quality.

T: Toffee, caramel, slight crème brule, then a plastic quality, then a slight watered down quality, a dull bitter hop note that disappears fast, a slightly sour watery note then it fades.

M: Medium body, little carbonation- what’s there again reminds me of a British Ale, very fine and almost non existent.

O: If it is a winter warmer, it falls short. Nobody can beat the winter scene on the ginormous can though- big points for that. Taste, really not bad, just falls really short of a ‘fine’ brew. Carbonation and look are great, though colour much lighter than other warmers I’ve had, still its pretty in the glass. Drank Feb 19 2014, bought last year, many months ago saving this in China for the winter season. The same store brought out the same batch with the same expiration date around Christmas again, though they disappeared for months beforehand. Expires March 29 2014.
