Our decadent chocolate bockbier is brewed with organic cocoa powder and chocolate malts, then aged on freshly-toasted organic cocoa nibs and bourbon-soaked vanilla beans, for a delightfully rich and authentic chocolate flavor. Heavenly dessert in a glass!

From a 12 oz. can.
Pours dark brown, with a quarter inch head of foam. The aroma is not pronounced, but is of mild cocoa, some vanilla. Taste is very much chocolate, as in a milk chocolate. Like drinking a cold hot chocolate. The beer is smooth and hides the ABV nicely.

Had on tap. A dessert bock, if that is a thing. Very sweet taste, with vanilla, maple sap, molasses, german malt, candi sugar, and of course tons of chocolate being the stars. Smell was like chocolate cereal with a little tart finish. Body seemed thrown off by all the flavor combo, thin and a little tart.

Poured 22oz bottle into tulip. A very dark brown appearance with a 1 finger tan head and no lacing on glass. Aroma is a dark fruit and chocolate with light notes of vanilla. Flavor has a bock flavor, with some chocolate covered dark cherry that has a slight tart flavor. Some cocoa and chocolate malts, with hints of vanilla beans. Feel is lighter and nicely carbonated, has a smooth finish. This was solid, but I think the bourbon soaked vanilla beans gave it a hint of tartness which was a little distracting from the overall flavor.
