On draft at Vintage. Poured into a tulip glass. Dark black body, nice one finger thick mocha head, good retention, bits of lacing. Smell is a faint sweet caramel, light roast, maybe a non-descript maple sweetness? But not much in way of bourbon or barrel character. Flavour is light roast, mildly sweet caramel, touch of coffee grounds-like astringency. No real maple or bourbon barrel characteristic to be found. Mouthfeel is medium-thinner bodied, a bit of burnt coffee or roast on the backend. Not exactly CBS; I didn't think the barrel really came through here at all.
