Poured a clear brown with a large tan head with spotted lacing. Smells of caramel malt, dark fruit esters, a touch of dry earth and brown grains. Taste is similar, doesn't have the yeast depth at all though, but malt tones are good. Feel is smooth and malty, lighter bodied and somewhat thin

33cl bottle acquired in Zurich, Switzerland. Served into a generic drinking glass. Reviewed from notes taken June 2010.
A: Pours a 1.5 finger head of slight cream, fair thickness, and decent retention. Body colour is a semitransparent copper.
Sm: Fruit esters, caramelized malt. A mild strength aroma.
T: Caramelized malt and light fruit and floral notes. Simple. Somewhat balanced. Built decently for the style.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Sort of off-buttery. Somewhat complementary of the flavour profile, but not quite on the mark.
Dr: Drinkable for its average ABV and affordable by Swiss standards. It's not notable enough to warrant getting again, but it might be a good choice if you find yourself needing to get sloshed in Zurich.
