Served from a cask into a non-imperial pint glass in a pub in London, England. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a one finger head of soft cream, nice thickness, and good retention. Colour is a dark ruby-black.
Sm: Nuts, esters (strange), and cream. Moderate in strength.
T: Souring hops and bacteria; a bit like a restrained lambic. Not at all reminiscent of a true porter. Simple, strangely built, and kind of balanced.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Not complementary of the flavours.
Dr: Strangely built and unrefreshing. Low ABV. High price. I won't have it again, and it's hard to drink even at this low an ABV.
