Renamed the Cease and Desist, from McGuinness Stout, due to some naming issuses with...well you figure it out! Big, bold and full-bodied. This midnight-black stout incorporates oatmeal and unfermentable milk sugar, lending the finished beer a subtle sweetness and a full, creamy mouthfeel. The coffee notes from the roasted malt are further complemented by aging on Oregon oak which has been soaked in Kahlúa® coffee liqueur. Brewed in 2014 and aged to perfection!

Half pour at the Raindrop. 2017 vintage. Dark brown pour, opaque, soft, bubbly beige head. Chocolaty aroma, milky. Taste is sweet, roasty, chocolaty, milky. Bitterness lingers .

2019 on draft. Very thick, and full bodied. Surprisingly sweet, considering it's 72 IBU.

Jet black with a silky, but soapy thin foam head. On tap in a 12oz snifter. Smells lovely of vanilla and bourbon barrel oak with a thick boozy undertone. Excellent taste. Sweet rich chocolate syrup nicely balanced with just the right amount of vanilla and espresso bitterness with tiny hints of raspberry and cherry. Dark smooth bourbon with dark roasted coffe and dark sweet caramel. Sweet and just a bit of sharpness on the finish with some silky booziness. The feel is great too. Thick in the back of the palate but thin and inviting in the front like a super smooth long aged bourbon. More of a sweet stout than a milk stout, but it's more imperial tan anything. Whatever. Delicious.

Imperial milk stout aged on Kahlua soaked oak. This beer pours pure black with a nice caramel heads. Strong roasty aroma with a hint of chocolate, possibly from the Kahlua. Drinks smooth and quite balanced. You wouldn't know this beer clocks in at 9.2% ABV. Winter seasonal only available on draft. Looks like you'll have to wait at least 6 months to find this on tap again in the Portland area.
