The colour is deep copper-amber, the liquid clear. The two finger head is airy and beige. Some lacing.
The smell is sweet, malty and a bit bitter. Notes of cookies, rye crisp bread, butter and bitter herbs.
The taste got notes of wholegrain bread, bitter hops with a metallic touch, some roasted malt, and butter and... Well, not much more is going on here actually. The aftertaste got bread-y flavours, hints of yeast, alcohol and some anonymous bitterness.
The carbonation is rather strong (almost sharp) for a pale ale. Small bubbles. The liquid is thin.
Kopparbergs Bryggeri is well known in Sweden for brewing cheap and simple beers with a lot of marketing: Swedish beer geeks were surprised when they presented an English style ale. And I am not convinced by this brew: It is too way too simple and heavily-handed made.
