Smoky taste, almost a rauchbier. Very sweet. Molasses/caramel flavor. Not for everyone.

Appearance – Two finger head on a hazy reddish-brown body.
Aroma – Smoky peat, almost like meat. Oak and strong malt. Not really boozy.
Taste – Very smoky, slightly sweet, overall very nasty.
Mouthfeel – Flat, viscous, and almost slimy.
Overall – A drain pour. I could not even take a second sip. The worst beer I have had in at least a decade.

Pours with little head to speak of and just a few traces of lacing that quickly disperse down the walls of the glass. The nose is all boiled raisins, candied cherries, lots of high-pitched fruit notes and a bracing alcohol backbone. Color is deep amber. Taste begins with an unrolling tinge of alcohol heat that brings with it a bushel of the same fruit notes in the nose but with other angles. I get some citrus zest in here with the push of fermented cherry and raisin. Aftertaste is all medium-strength black tea and lingering alcohol heat. A complex beer, something to savor.
