No head so no retention. Slightly cloudy copper colored pour from a 22oz with sweet malt, brown sugar aroma with vanilla overtones. Cloying sweet overtone, little depth of character and no balance. The sweetness needs a hop, or alcohol, or drying character but none evident. Lefty's has made some decent acceptable beers but buying local needs to be buying local excellence...I support excellent brewers, I'll favor those local. But I'll still buy excellent first, local second. That way we will continue to get better beers (cars, software). Expect excellence and drive locals to get better. Most have the ability...push em! This is a very poor quality beer.

22oz bottle purchased as a single from somewhere localish.
Poured into a DFH snifter, formed a 1/4" tan head over the cloudy reddish brown brew. Head quickly recedes to the rim, with ample swirling, and lots of sticky lace. Aroma is alcohol and tannins.
Taste starts worty and a bit rich, a peek of lemon in the middle, then rolls on into a sweet close with coconut and alcohol. Mouthfeel is pretty smooth, and drinkability is alright as well. Not my favorite, but hard to fault it too much. You know the ba brews, you fill the barrel and you takes your chances...
