This is classified as an American Pale Ale? I thought it was more along the lines of a British Pale Ale or maybe even a British IPA. Much more influenced by the malt than the hops. Golden color, nice long lasting head. Full bodied. Not the best beer Papago has made, but not the worst either, just kind of average. Ask for a taster before you order it because they always have many more outstanding beers to choose from.

Dark brown color, clear, with some ruby highlights. Smooth, creamy head of about a half inch, dissipates rather quickly and leaves a tightly packed but thinnish ring around the top of the beer. Looks like a nice little English bitter.
Aromas of dark fruit, hard water, and English yeast, with the flavors following suit. Peppery nature, classic British flavor. Not as floral and hoppy as other APAs I've had on cask; this is decidedly "darker" in nature. Toasted grains, plenty of hops, but they taste like Fuggles or Goldings rather than a C-hop. Mouthfeel is wonderfully smooth and creamy, pretty lush with the expansion of millions of tiny bubbles.
I didn't get a chance to try the Piestewa on tap, but this is classic British pub style, and recommended if you like these.
By the way, the brewers listed this as an APA on their tap list. It was available in the cask as well as a regular keg line. I would guess abv to be around 5%, possibly below.
