I stopped into Cafe DeRat in Utrecht on 19SEP19 for some refreshments. Started with a 0.33l bottle of this, for €4.50.
It was had clear, medium-copper hue, with a light beige head. It was about 1/4" and creamy, with nice lace. Aroma had some bready malts and a bit of florality. Body was medium; feel was decent.
Tasted a touch toasty, with some light caramel, though more than a typical Maibock. Had some floral hopping, and a hint of smoky action. Not bad, but somewhat atypical of the style. Prosit!

Light amber colour with a decent head of foam and lively carbonation. Full fresh smell of grass, hay and peppers. The taste is weaker however: Some toast and hop in the body. More flavour is in the swallowing: nice resin and grass thing going on here. Mouth feel is also a bit watery, but refreshing. A well hopped maibock, but could use some more body.
