On tap at Noble Ale Works in Anaheim, CA.
Pours a hazy dark orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, earth, candied citrus zest, and peppery hop aromas. Taste is much the same with earth, citrus zest, and peppery hop flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with interesting aromas and flavors from the throwback recipe they used here.
