First barrel-aged imperial stout release from Noble, if I'm not mistaken. Hadn't heard about it, but was pleasantly surprised to see cans available in the tasting room after the Angel game tonight.
Pours a deep, dark brown that's right on the cusp of pitch black, with an 1/8 inch of medium chocolate brown head that dissipates slowly.
Nose is strong oak and rye whiskey, with chocolate, roasted malts, ethanol and vanilla. Quite lovely.
Big, rich dark chocolate flavor, with oaky vanilla and some whiskey on the finish.
Full, thick body that coats your tongue.
This is fantastic and I am shocked that cans are still available 4 months after the release.
