Pliny the Younger is in season, but that doesn't stop me from trying others of the "Triple IPA" style. Noble Ale Works puts one on the market, and <clap clap>, I drink it. On-tap at Beachwood BBQ, on to the beer:
Nearly copper in color and shiny looking. With the addition of a creamy head whcih lasts a long time and good lace that it provides, that's enough to kick-start any review. It gets better. Smell it, and get an aroma filled with enough succulent tropical fruits that even the Chiquita girl is smiling. Kep on smiling girl, as this Triple IPA also delivers in its taste. A taste filled with these fruits, primarily mango, pineapple, papaya. The sugar cookie base brings in the missing ingredient to making this a winner. It's full bodied, with the 11% alcohol very well hidden.
Just a great "big IPA". If Knuckle Sandwich can put Bootlegger's on the map, Royalty can certainly put Noble on the map.

On-tap at Beachwood I, this is their Triple IPA,
A: Pours a light amber with a soft white head which leaves lots of sticky lace.
S: Lots of upfront hops, white grapefruit, melon rind and pine, pungent.
T: Like drinking a Hawaiian Christmas tree; I liken it to that because this beer is filled with pine and pineapple. Some minor notes of mango and white grapefruit pith. Very big and upfront with its flavour.
M: Full-bodied, sticky with resin with a long hoppy aftertaste. Rich, creamy carbonation.
O: A real nice TIPA, more like Hopsickle than Younger, big and in-your-face, hopheads will love this beer.
