A 500ml bottle with a BB of March 2018. Purchased recently from a local Costcutter. The label states that this is hopped with Perle, Cascade, Amarillo and Brewer's Gold.
A: Poured into a tulip pint glass. Bottle conditioned. A bright, hazy golden-amber hue with plenty of floating sediment and intense carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a while before slowly reducing to a persistent surface layer. Nice lacing.
S: Aroma of sharp fruity hops with hints of lime, citrus, zesty peel, grass, grape juice, subtle herbs, ale yeast, pale malt and faint earthiness. Pungent and spiky - very nice.
T: Tastes of bitter, fruity hops with notes of citrus, aromatic peel, grass, herbs, subtle spice, ale yeast, earthiness and mild pale malt. Very dry, followed by a strident herbal bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and good body for the strength. Somewhat astringent; dries the palate. Aftertaste of aromatic hops, citrus, herbs, grass, ale yeast and subtle malt.
O: Impressive - a very tasty bitter with tons of hop character. Looks great, while the aroma and flavour are stuffed with fruity, grassy hops underpinned by ale yeast. Good body. Very drinkable; goes down a treat. Well worth sampling.
