A 500ml bottle with a BB of April 2019. Purchased a little while back from Cost Cutter. The label describes it as a pale ale brewed with pilsner malt and single-hopped with Centennial.
A: Poured into a straight pint glass. Bottle conditioned. A bright golden hue with good carbonation and plenty of chunky floating sediment. Yields a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding to a patchy surface layer. Some lacing.
S: Aroma of sharp, fruity hops with hints of lemon, citrus peel, mild herbs, a touch of leafiness, earthiness, ale yeast and pale malt. Good - balanced and satisfying.
T: Tastes of fruity aromatic hops with notes of tart lemon, citrus rind, mild zest, a hint of herbs, vague leafiness, earthiness, subtle ale yeast and pale malt. Very dry, followed by a crisp hoppy bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and good body for the style. Somewhat astringent; dries the palate. Aftertaste of sharp aromatic hops, lemon rind, herbs, earthy yeast and pale malt.
O: Rather nice - the very pale malt accentuates the hop character. Looks alright, while the aroma and flavour are a blend of lemony hops, leafiness, earthy yeast and subtle malt. Good body. Very drinkable and refreshing; well worth sampling if you come across it.
