A golden, complex, strong Belgian ale with a full body. It finishes dry with some sweetness and a hint of cider.

Hands down the best BT I’ve ever had. Amazing look and fully enjoyable from front to back.

I sampled this beer on a recent visit to the brewpub. I purchased a 5oz sample which arrived in a tuliped pilsener glass. The beer is a clear gold color with minimal bleached white head resting on the surface. The aroma is some good fruitiness with green apple, pears, and a bit of melon. Fairly sweet overall and a little bit of bready yeast but no real booze on the nose.
First sip reveals a lighter than average body with very fine and spacious carbonation. Not really sticky or any of the syrupyness I occasionally find in tripels. This absence doesnt enhance the drinkability of the beer. The flavor is similar to the nose with light fruits dominating, green apple and pears again and a hint of general candi sugar. No real hop presence to be detected and I also dont get any booze or heat. This is a very approachable version of the style and I contemplated getting a growler of it, but the higher ABV kept me from making that decision. If you like tripels and are in Lititz I would be sure to at least sample this beer.
