On tap at the brewpub served in a pint glass. This brew appears excessively cloudy, absolutely yeast filled like this was the first pour from a fresh keg and I just got all the trub yanked out of the bottom of the barrel and into my glass. It appears a light brownish orange color. A finger of white head appears and rapidly fades leaving sticky lace with a webby pattern on the glass.
The aroma is light with caramel malt, fruity and floral hops and a touch of yeast. It is overall sweet smelling with a pleasant balance of hops and malt but maybe a bit muted even after it warms up.
The taste is mildly bitter with herbal to fruity rindy hops. Some minor sweetness comes out from the caramel malt backing. There is a light amount of sulfur in the aftertaste coupled with green yeastiness. There is a pleasant lingering flavor of grassy to herbal hops with minor citrus notes and fresh grain throughout.
This is a medium bodied brew with a light to modest level of carbonation. Fairly decent drinkability but too yeast filled. The alcohol tastes a bit more bold than you would expect for 4.4%. Overall not bad but not something I would go out of my way for.
