Had this on draft at the brewpub. This place is one of greater Jacksonville's hidden treasures. Nothing fancy, just great beer and food in a relaxed atmosphere. I admit, I live in Orange Park and I'm proud to have this place in my town.
L: it's as opaque and black as any beer I've ever seen, with a minimal bit of tan head that laces nicely on the glass.
S: not as strong as you'd expect. Roasty with some dark fruit.
T: wow!!!! This stuff is fantastic! Solid porter with lots of punch. Roasted coffee/molasses and lots of dark fruit, raisins, plums, cherries and the like. Strong in flavor yet very smooth and drinkable. High abv is well hidden.
F: super thick and not overly carbonated, even a little syrupy perhaps.
O: this one is a sipper, and a great sipper at that. Pinglehead hits it out of the park again!

Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub. Good drinkability, winey in taste and mouthfeel. Tasty and solid porter with mollasses and roast, chocolate malt, rasin like sweetness. Black with ghost lace.Marketed as an Imperial Porter., a style I like. Worth seeking out.

Thin tan head with excellent lacing on a jet black body. Vanilla and chocolate malt aroma, very simple. Flavor is also fairly standard with milk chocolate and vanilla sweetness, hint of coffee on a roasted malt base. Smooth, light to medium body and low carbonation. Simple and drinkable with the booze well hidden for the ABV.
