Two finger head without very good retention on a dark brown murky body. Dark chocolate, vanilla, brown sugar and roasted malt without much of a hop presence in the aroma. Flavor is also a little under hopped for how I like a black ipa to be with mildly bitter roasted malts,hint of coffee, generic earthy hops, and some vanilla for sweetness. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Good and drinkable just leaves you wanting more from the hops.
