A - Poured with one finger of white foam that collapses quickly but leaves nice lace. The body is clear and straw yellow.
S - A lightly earthy aroma of wheat and perhaps some coriander in the background.
T - Light malt up front with some tartness. A hint of honey and spicy character in the middle. Finishes with light malt and a touch of acidity as well as some distant orange notes.
M - Medium body, moderate carbonation and a dry finish.
D - Not bad, it is quite lightly flavored, which has the advantage of preventing it from becoming cloying in the way that many other wits are.

Gold and light haze; it seems almost too dark and too clear to be a wit. Aromas of lemons, ginger, and pine. The dominant flavor is lemon as well, with some very potent spice notes, although not the coriander that you'd expect. Drying and somewhat astringebt finish. Unbalanced, and lacks the subtlety and refreshment that I've come to associate with this style.

a Dark honey colour with no head. A slight raspberry aroma is on show here as weLl as the classic blanche aromas of wheat, coriander, orange peel, etc, etc. The taste is spicy and wheaty up front with a nice spiciness in the middle, and a dry hop bite in the finish. The mouthfeel is pretty standard for a wit and the drinkability is very good.

Appearance Nice, super-hazy orange in color with a yellowish tinge. The head was terrific. It came up big, settled slowly, and left lots of Belgian lacing on the inside of my glass.
Smell The light yeast aroma was complimented by some wonderful spicing. There was some coriander, black pepper, and maybe a hint of cinnamon.
Taste The spicing really picked things up at the taste. The malt base was slightly tart with subtle yeast undertones. Very traditional.
Mouthfeel A tad bigger than medium in the body with lots of different flavors to keep the tongue and cheeks busy.
Drinkability Excellent example of the style. This was the first 80 degree day in Seattle, so the timing was perfect for this taste.
