L : Deceptive, it's black but with minimal topping that vanish rapidly to let us with a thin creamy layer floating thro the experience.
S: Malt, espresso and some smoke
T : Plain malt overwhelmed by the carbonisation with some coffee note. To me it miss that complexity i'm looking for.
F : Too thin to my taste, that beer bring nothing to the game of body to corver for the alcohol even if its only 7,5%.
O : To my humble opinion, this is not what i'm looking for when i'm having a stout. Locally, that beer is as overrated as "La gaspésienne" is underrated. If you are looking for an easy reach black beer in Québec go for Pit Caribou.

Bottle from Sherbrooke
Solid black color with a large tightly bubbled tan head that persists forever. Rich chocolate brownie batter aroma dominates. Light caramel earth and fruitiness with just a touch of smoke. The flavor is more dark and milk chocolates with hints of caramel and light stone fruit. Lingering roasted coffee long after every sip. Feels like a big sweet stout more than an imperial, but really flavorful and well made. Wish I'd brought more back from this brewery.

A:
Pours a rich, roasted black with a airy-but-creamy brown head that pours huge, but eventually calms down to about an inch. Good retention; fat, stringy lacing. One little chunk of orange yeast broke off, but no big deal.
S:
Nuts, caramel, smoked meat. Really malty and warm smelling. Smells like it looks.
T:
Rusty and dirty. Really malty up front with hints of coffee, grass, and pepper. It has a really noticeable rising acidity that almost gets to be too much at the finish.
M:
Thin tasting and sadly watery with medium body. Carbonation is good.
O:
Not bad at all. It is not quite the near-meal I had expected but it was a really nice stout nonetheless. Could be a little meatier in the taste and mouthfeel departments, though. It almost seemed hollow. It is a good beer, but has the potential to be a great one.
Would have again.
