Definately the 2007 version, and I think underated. A dry but quite drinkable Belgian Pale. Went nicely with food. Very carbonated. Some honey sweetness in the background, a bit of yeastiness, and the Melisse lent it a floral herbal interest.I think this could age a few months for quality.

Bottle: Poured a medium yellow color ale with a big pure white foamy head with good retention. Aroma of weird spices with dry notes is really dominating and not necessarily pleasant. Taste of Melissa is really dominating and I have to admit that I dont enjoy this spice at all and it is way too dry to be really refreshing. Body is about average with some great carbonation. I like experimentation with new spices but I didnt like the mix that this beer provided.

500 mL brown bottle, bottled 3 months ago. This beer was brewed for the Bières et Saveurs festival and is flavoured with elderberry flowers.
Pours a very pale yellow with a white cap that leaves a bit of lacing on the glass.
Aroma is grainy, bready and a bit sour.
Tart and dry from the beginning, with big grassy notes. Some biscuity malt comes through, but it is overpowered by the slightly astringent herbal flavours. Finishes with hints of lemon and a lingering hop bitterness. Definitely some earthy, woody character to it. Alcohol is far in the background. Carbonation is fairly high and mouthfeel is a bit thin.
The first few sips caught me off guard, but I'm really starting to enjoy this. It's quite complex and kind of reminds me of a saison or bière de garde.
