Gold body, hazy, for only a brief moment forming a white, airy head before sizzling to nothing.
Aroma is lightly sour yeast, of apples, light overall.
Orchard fruit comes through more prominently in the taste, with sweet apple, white grape, even honeydew melon notes; some umami flavours and a hint of oak; mildly acidic and tart, enough to provide balance; feel is slippery and easy drinking, a touch oily, with fine carbonation; medium-light body and carbonation; off dry finish
Redeems itself as a flavourful beer with a soothing feel, though still a bit unattenuated and under-carbonated. Would like to see a drier finish for this style.

Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy golden color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of funky ester with some oak and vinous notes is quite nice. Taste is also a great mix of vinous notes with some oak and funky ester with a dry finish. Body is pretty full for style with good carbonation. Solid barrel-aged saison with nice vinous notes and good level of complexity while retaining some good drinkability.
