A deliciously fine beverage that is just the most drinkable. Juice in the truest sense of the word. Pure nectar. Had the pleasure of receiving this luscious liquid both in the can and on draft at the Hanger Pub and Brewery in Amherst. Went out for a hockey game and snuck in a trip to a brew pub. A very on brand day for the page. To be honest, this may be one of the rare beers that is actually better out of the can. All in all just a wonderful rendering of a tremendously drinkable IPA. This on a golf course in the summer could not pair better. I honestly might have to drive to Amherst again just to restock.

PKG ON 04/13/21.

A: Hazy honey gold with 1-2 finger off-white frothy head with good retention and thick lacing.

S: Aroma is thick with melon, tangerine, lemon-lime, fruit punch, and peach.

T: Flavor is slightly sweet but it works well with the strong tangerine, candied honeydew, lime, and a lightly dank herbal low note. Esters are low, and bitterness is moderate. Peach, melon, and lime in the aftertaste.

M: Very smooth, not chalky, with medium body and slightly dry tacky finish.

O: This hazy drinks like a WCIPA-NEIPA hybrid - I like it. Wish it had been fresher.

Pours medium orange, cloudy with a off white silky head. Aroma has lime and earth notes. Taste is light and airy with lightly tart lime and unripe tangerine. There is a light sweetness that cuts it well. Finish is clean, wheat malt is well balanced with it but out of the way. Feel is lightly soft and fizzy and a bit puckerish.

This is fantastic and grew on me as I drank.it. i would definitely have this again - something I rarely say about wheat beers.

Underrated!
Good pour in a Spielgelau IPA glass with a 3F head, light golden color.
Aroma: not too strong: lemon, citrus.,sweet.
The MF is very smooth.
Taste: quite strong with lemon, citrus, grape, slightly sweet accompanied by a very hoppy finish.
Amherst is an excellent brewery. Jess is a favorite IPA.

On tap on April 13, 2019.

The appearance is a milky looking light amber-yellow with a soft, lacing-leaving head.

The aroma brings forth esters of citrus, juice, floral and a sourdough sort of breadiness.

Light to medium and smooth mouthfeel.

The taste has the same citrus and floral hop note and it is generally sweet and finished dry. Pleasant.

Cloudy straw color with a tinge of white. Moderate and lasting head. Thick rings with connecting lace.

I get some off smells initially -- mainly creamed corn. Light floral hop behind the pale malted barley.

Starts off sweet with a touch of the aforementioned creamed corn. There's a light barley flavor up front. Neutral body with a higher than expected carbonation. Strong bittering hop in the swallow, reminiscent of black pepper. Despite the flaws, it's still very drinkable.

16 oz can into IPA glass. No date.
Look is hazy yellow. Smell is light citrus. Taste follows and ends with little lemon/grapefruit taste. Feel is light. Overall a good IPA but nothing really stands out.

From a 16oz can, undated, purchased at the brewery. Served in a nonic.

Pours a mildly hazed, super-pale, straw-yellow with a finger-plus of loose, white suds. Retention is remarkably excellent, leaving thin sheets of persistent lacing.

Subdued nose of sweet, crackery malt, lemon flower and dish soap.

Taste closely follows the nose, sweet crackers and lemons, mostly balanced but leaning toward understated lemon-pineapple-tropical fruit hoppy bitterness. A little juicy-fruit slickness lingers briefly at the finish.

Feel is soft and slick, just slightly less than medium bodied, amply carbonated, smooth and easy drinking.

Overall, this is a well brewed, tasty little beverage, surprisingly flavorful for the abv. Definitely worth giving a try.
