A- Cloudy and chalky pour from the tallboy can into a narrow, tall mug. The beer has a pale yellow body and a two finger creamy white cap with good retention. Thick, large sheets of lacing on the glass.
S- Hops for the most part and it comes with an interesting profile of soft stone and tropical fruits with dank, herbal and floral spicy hints in the backdrop. Peach, weed, apricot, mango, mandarins and bright orange juice comes to mind for specifics. A hint of pale grains and a light sweetness with that. Soft and juicy.
T- Follows up on the character of the aroma with the juicy and soft fruity flavors all over the palate. One noted addition here is some melon flavor, mint and more of a pithy ripe stone fruit flesh flavor. Apricot, peach, pluot, mandarin, bitter grapefruit, orange juice, clementine and mango with some floral, berry and herbal tones as well. Again, nothing super bright and on the soft side.
MF- Creamy and fluffy light-medium bodied brew with a high level of carbonation. Ends with an oily, zesty citrus hop bitterness.
Soft and fresh stone fruits with just a touch of citrus, tropical, herbal and floral hops. Amherst really leveling up as the years go by with their hoppy brews and Jane Doe is something I always order with some hot wings at the brewery.
