A- Pours from the tallboy into a pint glass with a slightly hazy yellow body. The head is white with a thick foamy texture. Good head retention and lacing is formed with thick webs decorating the walls of the glass.
S- Fresh hops that split the dividing line between citrus and sweet stone/tropical fruits. Apricot, peach, mango and orange lead into hints of dank weed, melon, biscuit and crackery grains and a medium suggestion of sweetness.
T- Follows up on the aroma well and rather smoothly considering the ABV, once above 9% IPAs get dangerous and this one has a nice balance of hops, booze and sweetness where none of the elements are offensive in the slightest. Opens up with mango, peach, candied orange and grapefruit before dank weed, sweetness, papaya, bubble gum, melon and bitter floral notes come to the party. Really balanced considering the ABV.
MF- Medium-big bodied brew with a fluffy and creamy texture. The carbonation is fairly high and overall it is smooth and just a bit oily. Ends warm from the booze.
Brewing a 9%+ IPA is a challenge and honestly ABC has taken it to task here. The hops are bold riding the line between sweet tropical/stone fruits and citrus playing well off of a hint of booze and some sweetness.
