Guess its back but under a new spelling of "Ryeteous Red", I assume its the same. The drink settled with a dark amber appearance with a small head and patchy lacing. Aromas had a tiny hint of spice with malt flavoring. Taste-wise was decently bittersweet and smooth. The drink was nice and creamy in texture, making it pretty enjoyable. Overall, not bad.

Had this on cask at ABC at I have to admit it wasn't my favorite. Appearance was good. Large, frothy bubbles, the way a true cask should be. Deep amber color. Slight hop aroma but nothing really stood out. The taste was kind of sour and it had a slightly bitter finish to it. It wasn't that it was hard to finish or that it really killed your palate, there was just a slightly bitter overtone that really brought most aspects of the beer down. This is something I'd like to try again when it's not on cask.

Enjoyed at the brewpub. Presented in a pint glass.
Off-white 1/2" head on top of this reddish brown brew. Well-balanced aroma. The taste exhibits a sweetness that is quickly offset by the ending hoppy mouthfeel . An interesting and successful combination, which provides for an excellent mouthfeel and high drinkability.

Sampled on tap at the brewpub 7-16-04.
This red ale poured a hazy, red color with off-white foam that settled. The smell was mildy malty with a touch of yeast in the aroma. The taste was lightly sweet and malty with notes of fruitiness and caramel and with low to modest hoppiness overall. The mouthfeel was smooth and relatively clean with medium body and moderate carbonation. This was a nice, easy to drink Red Ale.

Pours red transculent. Sweet aromas are the most noticeable smells. Also some malt smell. The taste does not match the sweetness in the smell, it is very mild and malty. Nothing very noticeable in the taste. This brew is smooth and consistent, something I come to expect from ABC. Another quality beer from ABC, if mild tasting.

Another brew from the W. Mass Brew Tour. Pours a cloudy deep amber with a fast fading off-white and plenty of sticky lace. The aroma is mostly malty with a whiff of mild citrus hop. A substantial malt body is honey sweet. A lime-like citrus bitterness finishes cleanly.
