Tap at ABC.
Pours a light fizzy head, golden slight honey orange colored beer.
Nose light fruity lager, touch of toasty biscuit, light wheat, little earthy dusty like.
Taste yeasty, light lager fruit, wet cardboard, little stone fruit, light wheat and some biscuit malts. Finish brings light fruity hops, very little bitterness.
Mouth is med to lighter bodied, decent carb.
Overall not quite right, off flavors and lacking on maibock flavors.

First time visit to ABC yesterday (04AUG12) with daughter Caitlin for some post-airshow lunch and libations. I find that Maibocks are few and far between in these parts, so I hopped right on this one.
Served in a standard, shaker pint glass, it was a clear, medium golden color, with sparse carbo bubbling within. Head was thin, creamy and white, with good lacing left behind. Nose was bready, with light sweetness and some floral hopping present. Body was a solid medium-plus, and it ran quite smoothly over the tongue.
Flavor? Oh yeah!! Had superb bready malt leading off, along with a bit of toastiness. The level of sweetness was just right, enough there to please the palate, but never overstepping things. Very subtle hints of light fruit lurked in the shadows, a little pear and green apple. Finishing things off were some lovely Noble hops adding a smidge of florality. Verrry nice indeed! Well made, quite tasty and most satisfying! Had two pints, but wish I could have had more... Prosit!
