330ml bottle poured into a pint glass.
Very deep black coffee brown in color with lots of sediment all around, the pour yields no real head to speak with but just some light tan bubble popping up and instantly gone without lacing.
Coconut cream, coconut syrup, slight charred coconut, dark bread, hint of grain, and just that since all the other aromas are sunken beneath that coconut flood.
Luckily, roasted malt and black coffee are softly presence in the palate as well as some typical Stout’s astringency. Toasted grain is introduced in the middle while the coconut tries to cut in and mingle with its rich creamy and sweet flavor. The finish is blended up and moderately lasting with all the roasted and coconut profiles.
The body is light and a bit watery with some crisp carbonation. The feeling is not that smooth but it is quite refreshing. Finish is rather dry.
What has transpired here? Brewing the Stout with that excessive amount of coconut is purely disaster, loss of balance, uncontrollable, and not that good imaginative approach.
